how it all began
My name is Gabby and I fell in love with nonprofit work about 9 years ago when I became a board member for a small organization. Shortly after joining the board, I began organizing their annual fundraiser. I enjoyed the work so much that I took on a full-time roll within that organization where my duties ranged from direct services to fundraising/grant writing and volunteer management. I wore so many hats and had such a small budget that I had to find ways to create greater efficiencies, stretch every dollar and do a lot of DIY.
Since that time, I have moved on to greater challenges in my development career. Through trial and error and a lot of determination, I grew to become a very successful fundraiser and began sharing all that I have learned with other organizations in my area. It has become my mission and passion to help the person that I was 9 years ago by expanding outside of my local community. I hope to make things a bit easier for those just starting out, or those with a very limited budget, by sharing all of the knowledge that I have gained in my journey.Â
Between staff shortages and time constraints, I understand what it is like to do the best you can with the resources you have. With that in mind, I strive to provide the most valuable content to help you in your development journey and your mission.
